Musician To Maker
I am an artist/maker based out of Meriden, Conn. After a career as a touring and recording musician, I left music to pursue making goods from reclaimed and sustainable materials. Close to two decades of traveling for a living made me acutely aware how important it is to consume less and live locally.
I began my maker career creating custom furniture, sculpture and more from locally sourced reclaimed materials, but the business quickly evolved back to music. Nowadays, I mostly makes ecoconscious guitars and instruments via my main business New Perspectives Music.
But I like to tinker and experiment, so when I'm not making guitars I'm making tools to make guitar making better, hence the birth of SqWAYre Tools.
An animal lover, when my family rescued some unwanted guinea pigs, I studied their behavior and realized the perfect toy for many scared, yet exploratory guinea pigs is a little, cardboard "tank" they could explore in while feeling safe. "Guinea Pig Tanks" was born and has been an amazing success.
Besides my sustainability mission, I create videos about my work on YouTube, to share what I learn and encourage others to think ecoconsciously and chase their dsreams.
